Do you offer after hour’s service?

All our services can be offered outside of normal retail hours to assist you in organizing your group. Also Sundays are now available by appointment at our Altona North store plus mobile service for at home or office personalized fitting. 

How far in advance should I rent my suit?

We recommend booking your suits 3 to 4 months prior to the function or wedding. The advantage of booking early is that it ensures you the suit style you want will be available and that prices don’t increase. If you are getting married between the months of September through to the end of April it is recommended you allow 3-4 months. Other times of the year allow at least 6 weeks. Individual suit hire can be done on the same day subject to availability.

Why should I rent shoes?

Do you really want to leave it to chance that everyone in the wedding party will have the appropriate shoes to wear with their tuxedo? Make sure your wedding photos turn out perfectly by having every man in the wedding party wear matching shoes.

When are the suits available for pick up and required for return?

For weekend weddings,pick up is normally Thursday  and return on Monday (before 5pm) or next working day. This is a general guide but if you have different requirements, because you are travelling or live outside Melbourne etc, have a chat with the staff and they will be happy to come to an arrangement with you.

Should I try on my suit before I wear it?

Yes, in fact we recommend that you have a final fitting on the collection of the outfit. This provides opportunity to make any necessary adjustments ensuring against any last minute surprises as well as help you with neckwear and accessories should you require it.if any adjustments are necessary we are all trained in altering garments should you require it, and we do it whilst you wait. All our staff wants to ensure you look fantastic, after all our suits are our best form of advertising.

When do I pay for the hire suit?

A non re-fundable deposit of $70 per suit is required when booking. The balance is then due upon collection.

Do I need to leave a security bond?

Yes, we require a cash or credit card. This security deposit covers any late fees or damages whilst the garments are in your care.

What happens if I damage the suit or accessories or return the suit late?

If the garment can be repaired then you will be charged repair costs, but if the garment is damaged beyond repair, then you must pay for the replacement cost . The garments are then yours to keep!

If you return an outfit late you will incur a $50 late fee for each outfit every day it is late.

We want to hire suits from LaMenz Formal Wear, but some of the wedding party are not able to come in for measurements!

No problem. We supply suits to people we have never seen. Just let us know and we will give you a Fitting Firm for those unable to get to our shop, alternatively you can download a form from this website.if at any stage the individuals concerned are passing our store, get them to pop in and have their measurements confirmed.

Do all the members of my wedding party need to come for their fitting at the same time?

We recommend that the Groom & Bride to come in first and take their time trying on as many different suits and accessories as they like so you can see exactly how you will look on the big day. When you have decided on a certain outfit, we can then discuss what the other members of the party will wear. They can come in at a later stage either on their own or with you. You are more than welcome to visit us at any time, however we do prefer appointments.

Do you hire children’s sizes?

Yes we do hire and sell.

What if I'm going on a cruise or an extended honeymoon or vacation? How do I return my Suits?

We offer one- and two-week rentals. Please contact our store for more information.

Do you offer deliver & pick up service?

For small fee we can organize delivery and pick up any wear around Australia.
